I work with boards, investors, public agencies and academic institutions across the animal protein value chain. My focus is to turn complex questions in dairy, meat and feed into clear strategies, robust investment cases and farm transformations that actually work on the ground.

Strategic advisory for dairy, meat and feed companies

I work with executive teams to clarify strategic options, redesign farm and supply footprints, and align operations with profitability and resilience targets.

This can include questions such as: How do we safeguard raw milk and livestock in a tightening supply? Which farms or basins should we grow, consolidate, or exit? What does a resilient cost structure look like under different feed, labour, and interest-rate scenarios? The outcome is a series of decisions, priorities, and implementation steps that senior teams can carry out.

Investment cases and 10-year IRR/NPV scenarios for livestock projects

I develop detailed investment cases for new and existing farms by integrating zootechnical performance data with full financial models.

10-year IRR and NPV scenarios help boards and investors gauge expected returns, payback periods, and sensitivity to outputs, feed costs, labour, capital, financing, and risks, with mitigation options, before investing. Typical projects range from goat and sheep farms to the restructuring of multi-farm corporate platforms.

Farm design, productivity improvement and risk management

I support clients in designing, expanding or reconfiguring farms so that animals, people and capital work in the same direction.

This involves barn and milking design choices that support animal welfare and labour efficiency, feed and ration strategies that improve performance per animal and per FTE, and operational KPIs and dashboards that help managers identify issues early. We develop risk frameworks for disease, climate shocks, regulatory shifts, and market volatility to embed resilience from the start.
